New Products in the Market

In any business they need new ideas and products not only to keep up to date with latest technology but also to retain and gain consumers. This can become hard for some businesses as the competition is so big that consumers don’t pay as much attention to these products. This is why it’s important for companies to understand their customers needs to enable them to make product that are likely to be successful and attract to their market.

Microsoft is a one of the biggest companies in the technology market, they have a range of products and services they provide to their market. They make and produces PC licences, we uses these in our daily life’s and take them for granted, things like Microsoft Office we wouldn’t be able to our daily jobs if it weren’t for Microsoft. They also produce Windows Operating Systems for PC’s, again if they did not regularly update these it would mean their product would become sluggish. However recently Microsoft have been struggling to gain customers in the mobile market. “Microsoft has struggled to convince developers to create apps for its Windows Phone system” (Microsoft Really Needs to Build Windows Developer Interest at Conference, Ina Fried, April 28 2015). “This has meant that they have fallen behind rivals Apple and Google. To solve this problem Microsoft have“[ developed] which will unite its mobile and PC operating systems and allow developers the ability to write a program that can run on phones, tablets, PCs and even the Xbox” (Microsoft Really Needs to Build Windows Developer Interest at Conference, Ina Fried, April 28 2015). They feel by doing this it will allow them to bigger target and the fact that it is system that runs on a number of systems means that it will meet customers.
